Job Title: Baker/Breakfast Cook
Overview
The Baker/Breakfast Cook is a key member of our culinary team in a world-class camp facility. This role involves preparing and cooking breakfast and baked goods to the highest standards, ensuring our clients receive exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake goods from scratch, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Restock pastry shelves and ensure a fresh supply of baked goods.
- Create and follow menus to guarantee quality baked goods and desserts.
- Wrap and date baked goods according to the production schedule.
- Maintain consistent quality standards in food preparation, considering special dietary constraints.
- Ensure proper equipment operation, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen.
- Comply with food hygiene regulations as per the Food Safety Act.
- Supervise night shift employees, providing mentorship and training.

Qualifications
Who We Are Looking For
- Interprovincial Red Seal Certification or equivalent culinary education.
- FoodSafe Level I certification is minimum; SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years' cooking and baking experience in a similar or hotel/institutional environment.
- Proven experience preparing baked goods for large numbers of guests.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Candidates must obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test.
