Canadian Safety Director

Railserve, Canada is seeking a highly skilled Canadian Safety Director to lead our EH&S program across the Canadian region.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive EH&S strategy to ensure compliance with government, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
- Collaborate with government, regulatory, and corporate bodies to maintain an excellent safety record and reputation.
- Establish and maintain a proven safety culture, ensuring workers' safety and well-being.
- Conduct regular analysis of safety-related statistics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in the start-up team for new operations in the Canadian region, integrating EHS requirements throughout all phases of the process.
- Five to ten years of related experience in a safety position, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a rail environment.
- 2-year safety-related certificate or higher from an accredited educational institution.
- Preferred: 5+ years in Transportation industry, 3+ years in Oil/Gas or Chemical production plan.
- Demonstrated experience in Root Cause Investigation and Causal investigation.
- Excellent knowledge of OSHA standards and Canadian Federal and provincial safety legislation.
- Solid knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices in the workplace.
- Familiarity with writing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
- Working knowledge of safety management software, EH&S.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Possesses strong leadership skills and ability to implement positive change.
