Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Indigenous Health Liaison Team at Fraser Health. As an Indigenous Health Liaison Nurse, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and evaluating healthcare needs and services for Indigenous clients in community and hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between Indigenous clients, families, service providers, and community agencies to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct client assessments and screenings to evaluate emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental status.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and service providers.
  • Provide health education and health promotion services to individuals, families, and Indigenous communities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and committees to integrate Indigenous Health with hospital and community programs.
  • Communicate with and obtain assistance from community agencies to ensure the best possible care for clients and families.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Graduation from an approved school of nursing including public health nursing component.
  • Two years' recent, relevant nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous health approaches, protocol, and cultural issues.
  • Valid BC Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle.
