About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer Assistant to join our team at D.J Masonary Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in the transportation and storage of construction materials, ensuring they are properly secured and accounted for.
  • Mixing and Applying Materials: Help to mix and apply materials such as concrete and asphalt, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in leveling earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring a stable and even surface for construction.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Machine Operation: Assist in the operation of construction equipment, following proper safety procedures and guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Support for Youth Employment: Participate in initiatives that support youth employment, helping to develop the skills and knowledge of the next generation.
  • Support for Veterans: Participate in programs that support veterans, recognizing the valuable contributions they make to our community.
