About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer Assistant to join our team at D.J Masonary Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in the transportation and storage of construction materials, including bricks, mortar, and other essential supplies.
  • Mixing and Applying Materials: Help to mix and apply concrete, asphalt, and other materials as required for our construction projects.
  • Assisting with Drilling and Blasting: Assist experienced team members with drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Earthwork and Grading: Assist in leveling earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring that our construction sites are properly prepared for building.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the cleaning and piling of salvaged materials and the cleanup of chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Machine Operation: Assist in the operation of machines and equipment used in construction, including tending or feeding machines as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role. However, relevant experience in construction or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Language and Work Hours: Fluency in English is required, and the ability to work 40 hours per week is essential.
