About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at MOME MASONRY LTD. as a Bricklayer Helper. In this role, you will assist experienced bricklayers with various tasks on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced bricklayers.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Participation in government or community programs that support newcomers, refugees, youth employment, Veterans, Indigenous people, or visible minorities is an asset.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week is offered.
  • English is the primary language of communication in this role.
