Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher: HCI+AI

Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our Human-Computer Interaction and Visualization research group. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will work closely with our team to develop innovative solutions for human-computer interaction and AI.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented researcher with a strong background in Human-Computer Interaction and AI. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field and a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. You will be responsible for designing and implementing research projects in the area of human-computer interaction and AI, including developing software prototypes, conducting literature reviews, gathering requirements, and developing algorithms.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement research projects in human-computer interaction and AI
  • Develop software prototypes and conduct literature reviews
  • Gather requirements and develop algorithms
  • Conduct formal controlled psychological experiments to test research ideas and hypotheses
  • Measure human performance and cognition limitations related to interaction with technology
  • Conduct usability studies, ethnographic studies, heuristic evaluations, task analyses, structured interviews, and surveys
  • Evaluate research findings and prototypes to make recommendations for improving business and products
  • Explore new prototyping frameworks and technologies
  • Author a full research paper and produce an accompanying research video
  • Present the results of your research externally and internally
Requirements
  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction
  • Demonstrative expertise in the area of interactive technologies with peer-reviewed publications on the topic in international venues
  • 1+ years of experience with web development and frameworks
  • Experience working with unique hardware modules
  • 1+ years of experience developing software in a Windows environment
  • Experience with programming 3D graphics, Unity, and Unreal Engine
  • Experimental design and data analysis
  • Rapid prototyping
  • Deal with requirements from multiple sources and find solutions and deal with conflicts and compromises
  • Work with other product teams
  • Write clear technical material

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location.
