Industrial Warehouse Leadership Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Distribution to lead our team in North America. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Grainger Businesses team and contribute to the success of our operations.
About the RoleThis role involves leading a team of warehouse staff to ensure seamless distribution operations. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, overseeing productivity, quality, and safety standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff to meet performance targets and service promises.
- Develop and implement effective coaching, communication, and training programs to enhance team performance.
- Manage workload and resource allocation to meet key performance metrics.
- Promote a safe and inclusive work environment that encourages empowerment, accountability, and open communication.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, recognizing opportunities for change and implementing successful process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, codes, and AGI operating practices.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehousing environment, preferably with a focus on internal branch facilities and external customers.
- Proven track record of positive coaching, team building, training, and development of direct reports, coupled with a 'hands-on' leadership style.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and relationship building, with a sense of urgency, enthusiasm, assertiveness, and high organizational skills.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and communicate effectively with team members, recognizing opportunities for change and driving process development and implementation.
- Strong personal attributes such as self-motivation, analytical skills, and capability to work independently.
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced warehouse operations and warehouse operating systems.
- An estimated salary of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
