Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Saskatchewan Inc.
Job Summary:The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training new employees, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient use of resources
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory levels
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training and development
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Address customers' complaints or concerns, and maintain a positive customer experience
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef, and ensure that all food is prepared to a high standard
- Supervise and check assembly of trays, and delivery of food trolleys
- Establish work schedules, and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers
- Ability to work under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, and ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
