Maintenance Planner Job Description

Woodfibre Management Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at the Woodfibre LNG Project in Squamish, British Columbia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate maintenance plans, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely execution of maintenance work.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to identify and prioritize maintenance activities, optimize resource utilization, and minimize downtime.
  • Use CMMS and scheduling tools (Primavera P6 and MS Project) to plan, schedule, and track maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of maintenance work.
  • Support project commissioning activities and align priorities for turnaround and shutdown maintenance execution.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in a petrochemical, oil refinery, or heavy industrial facility with similar equipment used in Oil & Gas industries.
  • Advanced experience with SAP-PM & SAP-MM CMMS, Primavera, MS-Project, and other work platforms.
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling experience in turnarounds/shutdowns is preferred.
  • Experience in front-line maintenance execution.
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams in a multicultural environment is an asset.
  • Ability to interact/communicate with front-line workers through to management and all hierarchical levels.
  • Able to accept responsibility and demonstrate commitment to the delivery of tasks and targets.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-driven, manage evolving priorities, and deliver on multiple commitments in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates & seeks accountability within the team, shares knowledge & encourages personal development.
  • Innovative, motivated, and willing to take ownership of tasks with energetic pursuit of continuous improvement.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
