Job Summary:

The Asset Manager position is a key role within Newmont Inc.'s Musselwhite Site, responsible for leading all mobile and fixed plant asset management execution and technical activities within the site maintenance areas. This position requires a strong background in asset management, with a focus on planning, scheduling, and budget forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing safe maintenance plans and programs, as well as a demonstrated ability to work in changing environments in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Asset Management team as an integrated part of Musselwhite's operations
  • Drive a safety-focused work environment and implement fatality risk control and verification processes
  • Conduct Critical Control Verifications as defined under Health and Safety objectives
  • Develop processes and procedures to support the effective implementation of the Asset Management strategy
  • Coordinate with center asset management the development of a clear annual maintenance plan
  • Recommend systems and process design to achieve overall technical, commercial, and social business objectives
  • Develop and supervise the capital expenditure and operating budgets for asset management areas
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and ensure ongoing growth and development
  • Monitor global key performance indicators (KPIs) used for Asset Management team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field or significant industry experience
  • 15-20 years' experience in mining and/or heavy construction industry with a strong background in Asset Management
  • 10-15 years Supervisory experience leading a successful team and implementing value-driven improvements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of planning, scheduling, and budget forecasting
  • Development of annual maintenance plans and RCM models
  • Proven experience working in changing environments in a remote setting
