Executive Chef Manager

Job Summary
The Sous Chef will oversee kitchen activities and collaborate with staff to create signature dishes that meet customer expectations. This role requires a self-motivated professional who enhances communication and commitment in creating effective and focused work teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen activities and staff, ensuring they have sufficient resources available.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Develop, provide feedback, and direct staff to achieve high levels of performance and customer service.
- Contribute to menu and budget development.
- Identify business opportunities and organize or oversee the development and deliverables of these efforts.
- Work with the casino management team and participate in casino initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene, organize refrigerators and storerooms, and ensure all food products are correctly stored.
- Retain a thorough and updated knowledge of policies and procedures, regulations, products, and services.
Requirements
- Two to five years of experience in restaurant supervision or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or restaurant management is an asset.
- Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
- Provincial certifications for alcohol service and food preparation.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, email, point of sale, and inventory control applications.
- Solid customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds required.
