Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Network Specialist to join our team at Travlink Employment Consulting and Travel Ltd. as a Network Infrastructure Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating access and use of computer networks, installing software, and maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate access and use of computer networks
  • Install software
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade web server hardware and software
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Set up LANs and connections to the Internet
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance
  • Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • VMware certified professional
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
