Dental Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Heritage Family Dental Centre. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for dental examinations and ensure they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.
- Order dental and office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and efficient dental practice.
- Prepare dental instruments and filling materials to ensure they are clean and ready for use.
- Maintain and order supplies to ensure our dental practice is well-stocked and running smoothly.
- Perform reception and clerical duties to provide excellent patient care and support.
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
- Educate patients concerning oral hygiene to promote good oral health and prevent dental problems.
- Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure our patients receive timely and efficient care.
- Take and develop X-rays to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of dental problems.
- Record dental procedures performed on patients to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Invoice patients for dental services to ensure timely payment and maintain a positive patient experience.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition to help them integrate into our dental team.
- Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth to help them develop their skills and confidence.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
