Job Title: Landscaping Foreman/Woman

Job Summary:

Thrive Landscapes Ltd is seeking a skilled Landscaping Foreman/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of landscape construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns
  • Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials
  • Manage and supervise landscape construction work
  • Maintain work records and logs
  • Tender and administer contracts
  • Repair and maintain equipment
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work outdoors and at heights
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Initiative, judgement, and flexibility
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and manual dexterity
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced environment
  • Work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Handling heavy loads and physically demanding work
