We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Automotive Assistant to join our team at P & J SPRING & WHEEL ALIGNMENT SERVICE LTD. As an Automotive Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our skilled tradespersons with various tasks, including moving tools and equipment, signaling safety procedures, and cleaning machines and work areas.

The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and less than 7 months of experience in a related field. You will be working in a noisy, dusty, and odorous environment, primarily in an urban area garage setting.

Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting tradespersons and other workers as directed
  • Moving tools, equipment, and other materials
  • Signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Cleaning machines and immediate work areas

You will be working in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and will need to be organized, reliable, and a team player.
