Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Best Pro Building Supplies Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of trucks to transport goods and materials to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Safely operate and maintain our trucks to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and materials.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all items are properly secured and accounted for.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that our vehicles are in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Communicate with our dispatch team to receive and relay information about our routes, schedules, and any issues that may arise.
  • Record and Maintain Logs: Record and maintain accurate logs of our trips, including cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is required. Experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: A Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and Air Brakes Endorsement are required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, on-the-road job with a 35-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
