About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Portuguese-speaking Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team at Angels My Way Home Care Inc. in Hamilton, Ontario. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and care to clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and other nutritional needs.
  • Monitor clients' health conditions and promptly report any changes.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Assist with mobility and exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare staff to create individualized care plans.
Requirements
  • Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker.
  • Clear criminal record check.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English to ensure clear communication with clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not required).
