Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Coordinator to join our team at Trillium Guideway Partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering and construction activities of the elevated guideway scope, ensuring compliance with established project and city standards/specifications.

As a key member of our team, you will assist the Elevated Guideway Project Manager in the day-to-day running of guideway activities, coordinate with design teams, and supervise engineering and construction activities.

This is a challenging opportunity to work on a large infrastructure project, delivering a rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Elevated Guideway Project Manager in the management of guideway activities.
  • Coordinate with design teams to report, analyze, and track potential design changes.
  • Supervise engineering and construction activities to ensure compliance with project and city standards/specifications.
  • Monitor construction progress and report status to the manager.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive construction plans and oversee subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Manage meetings, take notes for minutes, and follow up on items to ensure they are addressed and closed in a timely manner.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports, including updates on timelines, budget status, and any issues encountered.
  • Facilitate meetings to review progress and address any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and kept current.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a construction coordinator or related role with experience in large infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of stations construction practices, materials, and relevant local regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of bridge/structural construction including specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with subway/light rail projects, including delivery, and handover of elevated guideway/bridge assets is an asset.
  • Problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Work Conditions:

  • Work Location: Don Mills Area, North York.
  • Must possess a valid Ontario Driver's License G or G2.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment, under different weather and environmental conditions.
  • May require working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet project deadlines.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
