We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Finance to join our team at Stonewood Group Inc. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our transportation company.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance and leadership to the organization, ensuring the effective management of financial resources and the achievement of financial goals.
  2. Financial Reporting: Develop and implement financial reporting systems to provide timely and accurate financial information to the President and executive management team.
  3. Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets that align with the company's strategic objectives.
  4. Financial Operations: Oversee the accounting, tax, insurance, audit, budget, credit, and treasury functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  5. Leadership and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the finance and accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  6. Business Acumen: Apply commercial and financial principles to drive business decisions, ensuring a deep understanding of the company's financial performance and its impact on the organization's overall success.
Requirements
  1. Financial Designation: Hold a financial designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) and have a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  2. Industry Experience: Have experience in the transportation industry, preferably with a strong background in the LTL industry.
  3. Leadership Experience: Have experience managing a finance department and directing all financial activities involved in the financial stewardship of a company.
  4. Technical Skills: Possess strong technical skills, including experience with financial software and systems, and a strong understanding of IT and technology.
  5. Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial and financial principles, with the ability to apply them to drive business decisions.
