Cost Estimator

At Young Roofing & Construction Inc., we are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator - Labour and Material Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
- Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
- Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
- Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
- Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
- Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Client focus, organized, and attention to detail
- Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
