Job Title: Cost Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our team at Young Roofing & Construction Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Develop and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail
