Prairie Mountain Health is a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced Nurse II to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) or the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Act of Manitoba. This includes adhering to entry level competencies for RNs or RPNs, as well as obtaining and maintaining relevant competencies for the position offered by PMH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice in accordance with the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses, The College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, The College of Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Psychiatric Nursing Practice, the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA), and the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act, and other Provincial and Federal legislation.
  • Obtain and maintain relevant competencies for the position offered by PMH.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or eligible for active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider (P) and Renewal (R).
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Provider and Recertification.
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS).
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field.
