Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our Geointelligence Engineering Team in Richmond, Canada.

As a member of our team, you will work on various programs such as Chorus Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Satellite, Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC), and Square Kilometer Array (SKA) radio telescope. Your primary responsibility will be to develop new capabilities, enhance existing ones, and deliver solutions to our customers.

You will work closely with other engineers in a multi-disciplinary team environment to create and deliver engineering solutions in a cost-effective way. We value collaboration, teamwork, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop security-related artefacts supporting secure systems development;
  • Investigate and analyze security tools for use in the development, assessment, and test of secure systems;
  • Investigate and integrate tools and technologies to be incorporated into the MDA DevOps environments;
  • Trace customer requirements to conceptual designs and prepare associated documentation;
  • Support threat-risk assessments;
  • Work with development and operational staff to coordinate network vulnerability and compliance scanning;
  • Apply knowledge of IT infrastructure to facilitate the process of evaluating security risks and controls;
  • Evaluate, analyze, develop, test, and recommend specific solutions in response to specific security guidelines or industry best practices;
  • Work hands-on in a lab and integration environment;
  • SUPPORT work planning and cost estimates during various points in the project lifecycle;
Requirements
  • MUST possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science;
  • Have familiarity with Network Security principles and practice, Vulnerability Analysis, Threat Risk Assessment, Threat Modelling, Operating System Hardening;
  • One or more of the following products: Microsoft Enterprise network suite of software, Alientvault, Nessus, VMware vSphere, ESXi & vCenter;
  • SAST and DAST tools;
  • DevOps tools and processes; and Information Security best practices;
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to perform in a dynamic working environment; and
  • Have a team-friendly attitude and willingness to learn.
