Research Scientist

Job Summary:
The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join its Department of Immunology in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting experiments in animal models of intestinal inflammation, intestinal infection, and metabolic dysfunction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct immunological analysis, including Multiplex ELISA, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry
- Design, plan, and execute research projects
- Supervise other research staff/trainees
- Work with multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional teams
- Present research findings to PIs and other members of the research team
Requirements:
The applicant should have a PhD in a relevant scientific field with at least 4-5 years of postdoctoral experience or equivalent. Strong knowledge in metabolism, immunology, microbiology, enteric infections, host-microbiome interactions, physiology, and immune regulation of gut barrier function is required.
