Job Summary:

Greenstone Gold Mines is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the tool crib inventory, distributing supplies, and ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Issuance: Issue tools and equipment to personnel as required, ensuring that the right tools are in the right place at the right time.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of tools taken and returned, identifying any discrepancies or issues that may impact equipment availability.
  • Tool Repair and Maintenance: Identify broken tools and equipment, and arrange for repairs or maintenance as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Supply Chain Management: Replace missing tools and equipment, and ensure that the tool crib is stocked with the necessary supplies to meet operational needs.
  • Housekeeping and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized tool crib, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly stored and easily accessible.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Self-Motivation and Safety Consciousness: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and a self-motivated approach to work, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Prioritization and Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively, ensuring that all responsibilities are completed to a high standard.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industrial Experience: Prior experience in an industrial setting, preferably in a mine site environment, with knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Additional Assets: Forklift training and experience with parts manuals and identifying components and parts are considered assets.

Location:

This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario, with a 14/14 rotation schedule.
