Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Support Specialist to join our team at MacLeod House Baddeck. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension, working 24-48 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and possess excellent communication skills.

Job Description
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, prioritizing the needs of our patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to ensure timely interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and care provided.
Requirements
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification or equivalent.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent.
  • Criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and adult abuse registry check.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Physical ability to perform duties that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $35,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
