Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team in Quebec City. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for assigning routes to drivers, ensuring accurate delivery schedules, and providing exceptional support to our drivers and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign routes to drivers based on a weekly game plan and schedule, utilizing your knowledge and attention to detail to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Use Onfleet, our live dispatch application, to meet timelines and strategic goals while monitoring delivery efficiency and facilitating communication between drivers and customers.
  • Manage the schedule for all contractors in your geography, contribute to hiring new contractors as needed, and assist in recruiting and training new drivers.
  • Proactively work to solve logistics issues, escalate as needed, and ensure delivery success in your region.
  • Direct the pickup and delivery activities of drivers, providing accurate directions for pickup and delivery services when needed.
Requirements
  • College or university degree (preferred) or high school diploma and equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an operational role, demonstrating career progression, including at least 1 year of experience in last-mile delivery and/or delivery logistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse individuals.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as per importance, and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Strong technical skills, including Google Suite and Slack, with the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Reliable and available to work a consistent Sunday to Thursday schedule at 40 hours per week.
  • A valid driver's license and own properly insured vehicle.
