Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Area Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our customer scope of work within a designated area.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement plans for customers, including waxing schedules and budgets.
- Build strong relationships with customers and subcontractors.
- Train subcontractors and employees on required legislated training and United cleaning specific training.
- Lead process initiatives and work with senior management to identify trends and process gaps.
- Analyze and control store budgets, monitor expenses, and develop strategies to decrease costs and increase profitability.
- Implement transitions of new business in customer locations in compliance with the transition process.
- Support in hiring, recruitment, training, performance management, and termination of subcontractors.
- Work in compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislation.
- Available to address customer and subcontractor needs and concerns in a timely manner.
- Ability to work flexible shifts on a rotation basis, including evenings and nights.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Business acumen, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Active listening skills, time management, leadership skills, autonomy, and competence with technology.
- Managing budgeting and costing within janitorial operational environments.
- Knowledge of floor-care and cleaning procedures is an asset.
- Ability to motivate a mobile team of subcontractors.
- Degree in business administration or related field.
