About the RoleWe are seeking highly skilled Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) to join our team in Saskatoon, SK. As an EMR, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in emergency situations, working efficiently as part of a team, and possessing strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain personal knowledge and skills to deliver optimum patient care in accordance with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics EMR Clinical Practice Protocols.
- Safely operate vehicles in compliance with Health and Safety Manual, Operational Guidelines, and provincial and federal regulations.
- Stock and maintain vehicles in a state of readiness at all times.
- Work in hazardous environments to ensure patient safety and stabilization.
- Collaborate with external agencies as a team in a coordinated effort on behalf of the patient.
- Document patient care, assessments, and skills within the patient care report in a timely fashion.
- Punctually attend shifts and respond promptly.
- Behave professionally and handle conflict situations with good judgment.
- Follow the chain of command.
- Create and maintain fully completed Electric Patient Care Reports (ePCRs).
- Maintain patient confidentiality according to provincial and federal regulations.
- Report incidents and complete written incident report forms.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be a registered EMR with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics or willing to obtain registration.
- Submit a copy of a valid Saskatchewan Class 4 Driver's License (or equivalent) with your resume.
- Provide current CPR certification with your application.
- Include a current (within the last 60 days) valid and clean criminal record check along with a vulnerable sector check with your resume.
- Submit a current (within the last 30 days) driver's abstract with your resume.
- Demonstrate ability to work efficiently as a team member and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work various shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record.
- Hold a high regard for confidentiality.
- Exhibit excellent work habits and professionalism.
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, in addition to opportunities for professional growth and development.
