Compensation Package

Joining us means enjoying a competitive remuneration package, which includes:

  • A base salary of $115,000 per annum, reflecting the challenging nature of this role and the required expertise.
Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Controller, located in our Calgary office, this position will be responsible for managing the Fixed Asset team and maintaining the accuracy of the fixed sub-ledger.

The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, including IFRS knowledge, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with SAP would be an asset.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the accuracy of fixed sub-ledger transactions, including leases, additions, transfers, and disposals.
  2. Perform fixed asset account analysis and reconciliations.
  3. Review and approve fixed asset journal entries, corrections, and accruals.
  4. Distribute period-end fixed asset deliverables for Tax, Audit, and Finance departments.
  5. Comply with internal controls and ensure accounting processes meet SOX requirements.
  6. Assist in budget and forecast preparation.
  7. Prepare ad-hoc reports and schedules as required.
  8. Manage and support the Fixed Asset Analyst team.
  9. Develop and maintain fixed asset process documentation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 5-7 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
  • CPA designation or equivalent.
  • Expert accounting and IFRS knowledge.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Experience in SAP would be an asset.
