About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing highly scalable applications that measure the performance of ads for all of Amazon's advertisers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop next-generation processing platforms to measure ad performance
  • Collaborate with technical leaders to invent new patterns and launch features directly to advertisers
  • Own and operate business-critical systems, working with petabytes of data to answer advertiser and product questions
  • Collaborate with a group of exceptional SDEs, scientists, program managers, and product managers
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
