About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC - K03. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise to our engineering team, working closely with engineering and product leaders to deliver innovative solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership to our engineering team and collaborate with product leaders to deliver best-in-class solutions
  • Solve complex business problems and map them to elegant technical solutions
  • Design, launch, and re-architect multi-tier distributed systems with large amounts of data
  • Adapt to a fast-paced development environment with a focus on simple and extensible code
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
