Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Food Service Team Lead to join our team at Wendy's Restaurants Saint John. This is a permanent opportunity with 35-40 hours of work per week, requiring a secondary school graduation certificate and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish effective methods to meet work schedules and manage food and kitchen supplies.
- SUPERVISE AND COORDINATE ACTIVITIES OF STAFF PREPARING AND PORTIONING FOOD, TRAIN STAFF IN JOB DUTIES, SANITATION, AND SAFETY PROCEDURES.
- Evaluate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure quality control standards are met.
- Respond to customer concerns and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports, establish work schedules, and provide awareness training to employees to foster a welcoming work environment.
- We provide physical accessibility accommodations (ramps, elevators, etc.)
- We provide visual accessibility accommodations (braille, screen readers, etc.)
- We provide auditory accessibility accommodations (transcription software, teletypewriters, etc.)
- Assist with immediate settlement needs and support social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees.
- Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster and offer mentorship programs.
- Provide on-the-job training tailored to youth and offer awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
- Recruit Veterans and offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
- Develop relationships with indigenous communities and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
- Offer phased retirement options, workspace accommodations, and resources to help mature workers plan their retirement.
- Avoid discrimination in hiring practices and pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees through mentorship programs.
