About the Role

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is seeking a highly skilled Director, Sourcing and Vendor Performance to lead the sourcing lifecycle procurement management program. This role will provide strategic advice to Executives and Senior Managers to facilitate business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the sourcing lifecycle procurement management program for the LDB.
  • Provide strategic advice to Executives and Senior Managers.
  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate client business needs.
  • Lead process engineering activities related to contracting of indirect goods and services.
  • Apply expert knowledge in public procurement and contract best practices.
  • Identify policy gaps and make recommendations for changes and improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in business administration, commerce, public administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of recent, related work experience.
  • Experience in sourcing, procurement, and contract/vendor performance management.
  • Experience in public sector procurement.
  • Experience with negotiating contracts and resolving contentious issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in procurement and contract management in a retail or wholesale environment.
  • Experience with IT, construction procurement, and contract management.
  • Experience with issues management at an executive level.
  • Experience leading complex procurement projects/initiatives within the procurement team.
