About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Yard Coordinator to join our team at Fourgons TRANSIT Truck Bodies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of employees, coordinating truck inspection activities, and ensuring compliance with work methods and safety rules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 3 to 7 employees across two shifts
  • Train new team members
  • Coordinate truck inspection activities and complete transportation documents
  • Supply the installation and services departments with trucks within the requested time frame
  • Collaborate with team leaders of the installation, service, and transportation logistics departments
  • Ensure compliance with work methods and safety rules in outdoor areas
  • Resolve issues that may hinder daily operations
  • Coordinate the movement of trucks inside and outside the building
  • Manage inventory and warehousing
  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and compliance in the yard
  • Greet truck carriers, ensure delivery accuracy, and verify product quality
  • Strategically place trucks and boxes in the yard according to production planning
  • Ensure delivery of truck boxes and trucks to customers and carriers

Requirements

  • Holds a degree in operations management, logistics, or a relevant discipline
  • Experience in team management
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong stress and priority management abilities
  • Experience driving heavy vehicles
  • In good physical shape
  • Knowledgeable about inventory management and warehousing standards
  • Good computer skills (Office Suite)
