About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Coordinator to join our team at Fourgons TRANSIT Truck Bodies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of employees, coordinating truck inspection activities, and ensuring compliance with work methods and safety rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 3 to 7 employees across two shifts
- Train new team members
- Coordinate truck inspection activities and complete transportation documents
- Supply the installation and services departments with trucks within the requested time frame
- Collaborate with team leaders of the installation, service, and transportation logistics departments
- Ensure compliance with work methods and safety rules in outdoor areas
- Resolve issues that may hinder daily operations
- Coordinate the movement of trucks inside and outside the building
- Manage inventory and warehousing
- Maintain order, cleanliness, and compliance in the yard
- Greet truck carriers, ensure delivery accuracy, and verify product quality
- Strategically place trucks and boxes in the yard according to production planning
Requirements
- Degree in operations management, logistics, or a related field
- Experience in team management
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong stress and priority management abilities
- Experience driving heavy vehicles
- Good physical shape
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehousing standards
- Good computer skills (Office Suite)
