Junior Associate, Global Payment Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate to join our Global Payment Services team at Cape Breton University. As a Junior Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the processing of cash reconciliations, preparing payments, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
Key Responsibilities- Cash Reconciliation and Payment Processing
- Accurately track and process all cash reconciliations as required;
- Prepare all necessary payments in various banking systems;
- Collaboration and Communication
- Liaise with internal departments as part of completion of daily reconciliation/payment activities;
- Quality Assurance and Control
- Ensure all deliverables are met as stipulated in the SLA's;
- Ensure all processes are performed in accordance with operational procedures and controls and all relevant checklists are completed;
- Ad-Hoc Tasks and Support
- Participate in ad-hoc activities, including system upgrades, BCP planning & testing;
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as required.
- A co-op university student, in good academic standing, currently pursuing an accounting, finance or economic major;
- Demonstrate an ability to multi-task, exercise initiative and work effectively within a team environment;
- Possess strong PC-based experience, data management, and administrative support skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is an asset;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrate a diligent and methodical approach to tasks;
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
This role earns an hourly wage of $18.00 CAD, working 37.5 hours per week. This is a 16 week co-op position.
