Director of Philanthropy Job Description

BullyingCanada is a leading national organization dedicated to supporting bullied children and youth. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Philanthropy to join our team and drive fundraising revenue nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term development goals to increase revenue year-over-year.
  • Identify and secure new donors, including foundations, individuals, and grants.
  • Strengthen and expand revenue development opportunities with existing donors through cultivation and implementation of strategies.
  • Recruit new corporate and foundation donors and develop customized stewardship strategies.
  • Ensure all fundraising initiatives and donor cultivation are in keeping with relevant Foundation policies and practices.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business or fundraising or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Proven background in leading fundraising campaigns with revenue targets of $100k.
  • 57 years of experience in a fundraising/management role in the not-for-profit or charitable sectors.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and carry projects to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects within tightly prescribed timelines.
