Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technical Assistant will provide administrative support to our pharmacy team, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities. This role involves scheduling, workflow management, billing, and maintaining supplies, as well as assisting healthcare professionals and supporting newcomers and refugees.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow management to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Process claims for health insurance and workers' compensation.
  • Maintain supplies and inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with tasks and duties as needed.
  • Support newcomers and refugees with immediate settlement needs, including housing, transportation, and childcare.
  • Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Work Setting:

Pharmacy or drugstore environment.

Language:

English.

Hours of Work:

30 to 40 hours per week.
