Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Port Hope Guardian Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our pharmacists, including scheduling, workflow management, and billing third-party insurers.
  • Claims Processing: Process claims for health insurance, workers' compensation, and other benefits.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain supplies and organize inventory to ensure efficient operations.
  • Customer Service: Assist healthcare professionals and provide excellent customer service to our patients.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs, including housing, transportation, and childcare, and support foreign credential recognition.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience or equivalent.
  • Work Setting: Pharmacy or drugstore.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
