Assisted Living Support Worker

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Assisted Living Worker to join our team at Garden View Village in Kimberley, BC.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to seniors, responding to their needs and preferences. This includes assisting with daily living activities, participating in social and recreational programs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation and service, as well as housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Participate in social and recreational programs, including group activities, outings, and special events.
- Respond to requests for resident companionship and provide emotional support.
- Report changes in resident health or functional status to the Community Manager or designate.
- Perform delegated tasks in support of resident personal care, after completion of resident-specific training.
- Current registration and good standing as a Health Care Assistant with the British Columbia Care Aide Registry.
- Successful completion of Grade 12.
- Certificates in First Aid and Food Safe preferred.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team-player.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs.
- Proven computer experience.
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
- Negative TB Skin Test.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
