Job Summary

The Head Cashier will be responsible for supervising staff, hiring and training, ordering merchandise, authorizing returns, establishing work schedules, selling merchandise, and resolving customer issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Staff: Oversee the daily activities of staff members, ensuring they are meeting their responsibilities and providing excellent customer service.
  • Hire and Train: Recruit, interview, and train new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Order Merchandise: Place orders for inventory and supplies, ensuring that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
  • Authorize Returns: Review and approve returns, ensuring that customers are satisfied with their purchases and that the store is not losing revenue.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for staff members, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed during peak periods.
  • Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making sales to customers.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or customer service role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
