About the Role
TC Energy is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in the American Gulf Region - Sardis Area. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in the operation and maintenance of our natural gas pipelines and associated facilities throughout the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain gas-fired turbine engines, gas compressors, standby generator engines, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps, low-pressure boilers, oil coolers, air compressors, large-bank cooler fans, and gear boxes.
- Operate compressor engines and support equipment.
- Maintain and repair pipeline infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain valves and operators.
- Inspect, repair, and set regulators and relief valves.
- Perform line locates on company pipelines and/or utility line patrols and associated ROW maintenance.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform mechanical maintenance activities, including routine corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, equipment and system improvements, and major maintenance projects.
- Complete work orders, enter data into job plans, create new work orders, etc. in SAP.
- Other tasks as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant oil and gas industry experience.
- Understanding and description of the operation of a 4-cycle combustion engine.
- Three years of mechanical experience with internal combustion engines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting turbine engines.
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines, centrifugal gas compressors, and standby generators.
- Experience with gas turbine engines.
- Industrial experience in a plant environment.
