Mechanical Engineering Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at WATER TECH PLUMBING AND HEATING LTD.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, carry out mechanical tests and analyses, and design tools and equipment. They will also estimate costs and materials, prepare engineering designs and specifications, and supervise mechanical installations and construction projects.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects
- Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials
- Design tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures
- Estimate costs and materials
- Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare contracts and tenders
- Prepare standards and schedules
- Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Or equivalent experience
- Willing to relocate
- Relocation costs covered by employer
- 35 hours per week
- Permanent position
