About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Applied Researcher to join our team at Thomson Reuters Labs. As an Applied Researcher, you will be part of a global interdisciplinary team of experts, working on cutting-edge research and development projects in the field of artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative solutions using state-of-the-art information retrieval, natural language processing, and generative AI techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify compelling solutions at the intersection of user need and technical feasibility.
- Experiment and develop prototypes, applying best practices for reproducible research and well-managed software delivery.
- Deliver timely, well-managed results, and be accountable for the quality of your work.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI research and engineering, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in our products.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in a relevant discipline, such as computer science, engineering, or a related field. You will also have:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline or a Master's degree with a comparable level of experience.
- At least one year of industry experience building IR/NLP/ML systems.
- Solid software engineering skills for prototyping.
- Outstanding communication and data analysis skills.
