About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at KOTDATTA FRAMING LTD. as a Construction Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation and Construction
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Project Management and Coordination
    • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
    • Survey building locations and levels
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation
    • Operate hand tools and other equipment as required
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work at heights
    • Work in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments
    • Handle heavy loads
    • Physically demanding work
    • Tight deadlines

    Requirements
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
    • Ability to operate hand tools and other equipment
