About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Sidhu Pro Construction Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Layout Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Installation and Fitting: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Supervision and Estimation: Supervise other workers and estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, with a physically demanding workload.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work on the road and travel to various job sites.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • 40 hours per week work schedule.
