Job Title: Hotel Front Desk Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Northwood Plaza Hotel and Banquet Room.

Job Summary:

The Hotel Front Desk Clerk will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Room Reservations: Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Customer Service: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and provide assistance to guests.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Participate in programs that support persons with disabilities, offer mentorship and coaching opportunities, and provide awareness training to employees.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in programs that support newcomers and refugees, assist with settlement needs, and support social and labor market integration.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in programs that support youth employment, offer on-the-job training, and provide mentorship opportunities.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in programs that support Indigenous people, offer mentorship and coaching opportunities, and provide cultural competency training.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in programs that support visible minorities, apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination, and offer mentorship programs.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
  • Language: English.
