Job Title: Junior Asset Management Engineer

FortisBC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Asset Management Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Asset Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of energy to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and analyze assets vulnerable to climate change
  • Obtain and review climate data to determine risk profiles
  • Develop and implement climate change adaptation strategies for vulnerable assets
  • Support the Regional Engineer in distribution planning, asset management, and operational support activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two years of experience in the development, design, construction, and/or operation of electric generation, transmission, and/or distribution assets
  • Experience or understanding of asset management processes related to energy delivery systems
  • Experience or understanding of distribution planning
  • Proficient computer skills and experience working with large data sets
  • Valid BC Class 5 (or other provincial equivalent) Driver's License with a clean driving record
